Description

The nose of the Riesling Bollenberg reveals typical notes of citrus fruits (combava), white fruits (nashi, pear, white peach) as well as white flowers or elderberry.

On the palate, on the other hand, it is the limestone terroir that takes precedence, giving this wine a lively and tense structure completed by a full body with notes of fruit (apricots) with light saline notes at the end.

The particularly chalky terroir of the Bollenberg, (a thin layer of earth with rocky outcrops) is very sunny and windy. This micro-climate suits to the Riesling grape.

To be drunk chilled but not excessively, preferably colled in an ice bucket.

Ageing potential: 10 to 15 years.

Food and Wine pairing

The Bollenberg Riesling goes perfectly with grilled fish, fish in sauce or marinated, or raw fish such as sushi, poke bowl and ceviche. It is the ideal companion of shellfish (lobsters, shrimps, mussels), sauerkraut and Alsatian charcuterie.
