Description
To obtain this sublime Late Harvest, the grapes are harvested when over-ripe. After manual pinching of the stalk to stop any exchange between the vine and the bunch, a passerillage is carried out before the very selective harvest.
The Muscat Vendanges Tardives develops the typical nose of the variety with dense floral aromas. On the palate, the fine and elegant aromas typical of the variety are very present and persistent. This rich and complex wine starts with a pure grape flavour and finishes with a honeyed acidity.
The developed aromas of this Muscat are the result of the marriage between the Bollenberg terroir, a very deep limestone soil, and its microclimate which is beneficial to the grapes.
To be drunk chilled but not too cold.
5 to 8 years in the cellar will lighten the dominant sugar taste, releasing surprising hidden aromas.
Food and Wine pairing
Muscat Vendanges Tardives can be enjoyed as a festive aperitif or with foie gras in terrine or panfried. It will be just as delicious drunk on its own, with friends.
