Description
Our best Pinot Noir grapes (old vines on the marl-limestone terroir of Rouffach) are destemmed and then put into new barrels (5 barrels per vintage).
After a complete vinification in barrels, this 100% Pinot Noir is aged for 18 months in the same barrel.
Tasting notes: the colour, a deep ruby with purple hues, is bewitching.
The nose is full of red and black fruits, with hints of cherries and morello cherry. The typicality of the grape variety is present, but deep and rich. Toasted and liquorice notes suggest a great wine for laying down.
On the palate, the impression is one of substance: velvet and silk, like a vaporous dress. We find notes of fleshy fruits. The tannins are already well blended and expressive.
Serve at room temperature (the cold blocks the wine's aromas on the nose and palate).
Ageing potential: 10 to 15 years.
